    Clean Transportation Non-Profit Seeks Grad Student for Summer InternshipThe Louisiana Clean Fuel's Clean Cities internship will give students studying communications, public relations, business, marketing, transportation planning, or environmental sciences the opportunity to grow public awareness and expand the markets of advanced vehicle technologies, alternative fuels, and practices that reduce the consumption of petroleum. Students have participated in stakeholder survey's, outreach activities, public education, EV charging infrastructure planning, fleet events, and a vast array of transportation-related environmental projects.Overview: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree-granting program. Internship will begin June 13, 2022, and run through August 26, 2022. The intern will have the option to reapply for future Internships. Specific Details for Internship in Louisiana:Position is for 30 hours per week for 10 weeks (including 1 week unpaid time off).All resumes are due by May 6th, with interviews conducted approximately May 9-12th. Final selection will be made no later than May 31st.Internship dates: approximately June 13 through August 26, 2022.Graduate students will be paid $15/hr.Please note that this internship requires the intern to be in the general Baton Rouge area throughout the duration of the position.Qualifications: The selected intern will work primarily on Louisiana Clean Fuels’ Drive Electric Louisiana Program, which consists of planning and conducting outreach events, recruiting and managing volunteers, cultivating relationships with potential community partners, and assisting LCF staff with conducting regional electric vehicle infrastructure planning workshops. This position is most applicable to graduate level students with a passion for clean transportation planning and project implementation. The ideal applicant will be a self starter who possesses excellent communication, organizational, database management and/or data analysis, GIS, website maintenance, and social media skills as well as related experience to support outreach and community organizing efforts. A strong interest in electric vehicles, environmental and/or energy-related causes is beneficial. Software skills desired: Excel, Google Drive, Google Earth, Canva, and Hubspot. Familiarity with Zoom, basic video editing, podcasting, and FB and Instagram Live online event production is a plus.Responsibilities will include a mixture of the following:Continuously maintain social media platforms on Instagram and Facebook as well as redesigning digital media collateral to better communicate our mission and relevance to stakeholdersConduct alternative fuel technology-related research to create articles for newsletter and LCF blog.Assist with planning of outreach and educational events-- support events and communications with webinars, ride and drives, and National Drive Electric Week events, including producing materials, conducting outreach, and helping with event logistics.Establish relationships with Energy & Sustainability Offices at universities as well as student led groupsWork with co-coordinator to create fleet outreach materials for a new LCF fleet analysis programCreatively use afdc.energy.gov tools to conduct research and analysis that would communicate the value of alternative fuel vehicles to decision makers, stakeholders and the public.Attend weekly in-person staff meetings to provide task updates and coordinate with other LCF staff.Lead at least one outreach initiative for the coalition with guidance and support from LCF staff.Perform routine administrative tasks such as proposal writing and support other staff work as needed.Some in-state travel may be required.About Louisiana Clean Fuels: Louisiana Clean Fuels is a designated Clean Cities Coalition headquartered in Baton Rouge. We are a statewide non-profit organization focused on education and project implementation with offices in Downtown Baton Rouge, LA. LCF has been helping both public and private fleets implement clean transportation projects for over 20 years. Our coalition builds partnerships with local and statewide organizations in the public and private sectors to adopt: Electric, alternative and renewable fuels, idle-reduction measures, fuel economy improvements, and new transportation technologies, as they emerge.
