Lonesome Dove Western Bistro in Knoxville has immediate openings for experienced line cooks.
The ideal candidate must possess a minimum 2-3 years of experience in a chef-driven restaurant, have a passion for cuisine and hospitality, and be a team player. He/she must be able to take direction from the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef to understand and execute all menu items according to recipes. Proficient at knowing and upholding company standards and perpetuate a positive work environment.
Requirements:
· Adept at preparing food for service to specification from proprietary recipes, e.g. Chopping veg, butchering meat, making sauces, garnishes, etc.....
· Ability to observe and distinguish product quality by smell, taste, and appearance.
· Able to cook in coordination with other cooks to ensure proper timing on tickets.
· Must be able to work night and weekends.
· Be able to perform all essential job functions of the position.
· Effectively communicate in English.
· Possess a current Texas Food Handlers Permit.
· Be dependable and punctual.
· Must be able to work nights and weekends.
· Must have experience at a high-volume establishment.
