    DESCRIPTIONFounded in February of 2020, Lovett Industrial (“LI”) is a Houston-based real estate investment and development company focused on the rapidly growing industrial sector in major markets across the United States. LI is led by Charlie Meyer, former Partner and head of industrial development for Hines, the global $130 Billion privately held real estate investment/development firm based on Houston, TX. Michael Allen, also a former Hines Partner, recently joined LI to establish the firm’s East Region platform based in Washington, DC. The company’s principals have the track record and financial resources to acquire and entitle land and finance Class-A industrial development projects across the risk spectrum including speculative, value add and build-to-suit developments ranging 100,000 last mile and infill projects to multimillion SF eCommerce distribution centers. The company is currently active in 4 markets with over 2 million SF of space currently under construction. The company’s pipeline of current and future projects encompasses more than 1,000 acres of land, 11 million square feet of space, and $1 billion in managed cost. LI is currently looking for an analyst or Associate-level person to support establishment and expansion of its East Region platform. A position description follows below. Position: Analyst/Associate (commensurate with experience)Department: Acquisitions and DevelopmentReports To: Managing Director, US East RegionLocation: Washington, DC. Potentially remote in the short term. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESActively manage and enhance real estate investment modelsDevelop project-level and market-level assumptions, incorporating assumptions into the models; work closely with development team members to ensure assumptions are consistent with market conditionsDevelop strong network with brokers, land owners, and industrial real estate professionalsCommunicate updated model assumptions to the team, presenting and supporting project returnsConduct and organize industrial industry and market research, including new technologies and trendsConduct independent research and regularly communicate with brokerage firms and other research outlets to monitor and analyze market trends and report to team on relevant developmentsPrepare ad hoc partner-level reports and analysesAssist with analysis to support capital strategy, including debt and equity capital transactionsKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSProven experience with Argus and Excel-based financial modeling and strong analytical skillsExperience using PowerPoint and CoStarExperience sourcing market research and utilizing comparable data for analysisAbility to develop strong networkAn understanding of basic accounting concepts, common real estate acquisition and development return metricsPreferred understanding of industrial investment fundamentalsAbility to apply critical thinking and recommend alternative methods of analysisStreamline complex processes into easy-to-understand, presentable messagesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlinesExcellent communication skills and ability to support underwriting assumptionsProven organizational skills and exceptional attention to detailComfortable working independently as well as within a teamAbility to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s Degree2+ years of relevant real estate finance, acquisitions, development, industrial, and/or underwriting experience
