  • Responsibilities

    POSITION PURPOSE AND EXPECTATION:

    Lovisa is seeking an assistant project manager for the store development team, focusing on store design. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction and design, and a desire to learn and grow within the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the design process, including but not limited to project management, drafting, estimating, and more.

    The Assistant Design Project Manager will be responsible for:

    • Design stores as a part of the store development process.
    • Manager permitting and deadlines pertaining to new store openings.
    • Take on redesign, upgrades, and large in-store work, as necessary.
    • Piercing installations, Lighting remodel, blade signs, large maintenance, and repair work.
    • Facilitate landlord communication including pre-construction and construction requirements, utility details, and any other project requirements.
    • Assist in the implementation and delivery of project design.
    • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, general contractors, and engineering consultants.
    • Determine technical requirements for the design and manage client communication.
    • Balance design intent with necessary code, programmatic, and budget needs
    • Resolve technical and design issues with the team.
    • Coordinate projects through all administrative and technical phases of design/construction project efforts including upkeep of internal data systems.

    Experience:

    • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, graphic design, and 3D modeling and visualization software.
    • Experience with commercial shopping centers, multi-family residential, and mixed-use construction processes.
    • Knowledge of the construction permitting process.
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
    • Ability to manage in-house teams and consultants.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of the construction permitting process.
