    · Show up on time and ready to work. · Maintain reliable transportation to and from worksites. · Communicate early, clearly, and professionally. · Learn commercial low-voltage installation, pathways, cable handling, labeling, testing, and documentation. · Take ownership of assigned work and jobsite responsibilities. · Work safely, follow company processes, and respect jobsite and security procedures. · Represent Bonsai professionally with coworkers, customers, general contractors, and other trades.

    Key Responsibilities

    · Support installation of low-voltage security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, fiber optics, structured cabling, and related devices. · Assist with installing conduit, cable pathways, junction boxes, equipment enclosures, and support infrastructure. · Pull, route, dress, label, and secure low-voltage cabling under the direction of experienced technicians and leads. · Assist with installing card readers, keypads, door contacts, motion detectors, alarm devices, cameras, control panels, and associated hardware. · Learn to read construction drawings, wiring diagrams, device schedules, and installation documents. · Assist with terminations, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and punch-list support. · Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by removing debris and protecting finished work. · Assist with material tracking, tool accountability, redline notes, and basic installation documentation. · Participate in required safety meetings, project meetings, security briefings, and job training. · Protect confidential and sensitive customer information.

    Required Qualifications

    · High school diploma or GED equivalent. · Reliable transportation to and from worksites and a valid driver's license. · Strong attendance, punctuality, communication, and personal accountability. · Construction, electrical, low-voltage, structured cabling, or related hands-on experience preferred; strong willingness to learn required. · Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and testing equipment as trained. · Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. unassisted. · Must be a U.S. citizen, legally authorized to work in the United States, and able to provide required identification. · Must be able to pass background screening and obtain customer-required secure-site access credentials.

    Helpful Qualifications

    · General commercial construction experience. · Exposure to access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, structured cabling, fiber optics, or integrated security systems. · Experience with EMT, conduit, cable tray, J-hooks, sleeves, or other pathway systems. · Experience working around general contractors, electricians, or other trades on active construction sites. · OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, or willingness to obtain company-required safety training. · Experience in government facilities, data centers, secure sites, or mission-critical environments. · Desire to grow into Technician II, Lead Technician, or other leadership roles.
