RowNet is a growing commercial ICT integrator serving the DFW metroplex. We design, build, and support the systems that make modern buildings work—structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, A/V, and network infrastructure. We partner with top general contractors, architects, and developers across North Texas on projects ranging from tenant buildouts to ground-up commercial construction.
We're looking for a Low Voltage Systems Foreman to lead crews and subcontractors in the field, own project execution from first fix to commissioning, and represent RowNet's standard of quality on every job site. This is a hands-on leadership role—you'll pull cable alongside your team, manage subs, and make the calls that keep projects on schedule and on budget.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage field crews and subcontractors through all phases of low voltage installations on commercial job sites
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling (Cat6/6A, fiber), access control, CCTV/IP camera, and A/V systems
- Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and scope documents to plan daily work and material needs
- Coordinate directly with general contractors, other trades, and RowNet project management to maintain schedules and resolve field issues in real time
- Manage multiple concurrent projects or job sites, balancing priorities and crew allocation as workloads shift
- Oversee subcontractor performance—quality of work, schedule adherence, and compliance with RowNet standards
- Enforce quality standards—proper cable management, labeling, testing documentation, and clean workmanship on every pull
- Manage on-site materials, tools, and equipment; anticipate upcoming needs before they become delays
- Evaluate workload and manpower needs; participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new technicians as the team grows
- Mentor junior technicians, enforce safety protocols, and maintain a professional, organized job site
- Conduct system walk-throughs and punch list completion with GCs and end-user clients
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, GCs, and project stakeholders via phone, email, and in person
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves:
- 2–3 years of experience as a Low Voltage Foreman on commercial projects, OR proven track record as a senior lead technician ready to step into a foreman role
- Strong working knowledge in at least one core discipline: structured cabling/fiber, access control & CCTV, or A/V systems—with willingness to develop skills across the others
- Demonstrated ability to lead a crew, manage daily field operations, and communicate effectively with GCs and clients
- Ability to read and work from blueprints, rack elevations, riser diagrams, and construction specifications
- Comfortable managing multiple active projects or job sites simultaneously
- Proficient with basic business tools (MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook) and able to learn construction management platforms
- Professional appearance and demeanor—you are a direct representation of RowNet on every job site
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites throughout the DFW metroplex
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- BICSI Installer or Technician certification (INST1, INST2, or RCDD-track)
- OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification
- Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Axis, Lenel, Genetec, Crestron, Panduit, Corning)
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software
- Experience with IP-based camera systems and network fundamentals
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders, work from lifts, crouch, kneel, and operate in confined spaces for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions as project needs require
Why RowNet
- High-impact work—you'll see your builds go live in major commercial spaces across DFW
- Growth opportunity with a company that's scaling and investing in its people
- Direct access to leadership—no layers of bureaucracy between you and decisions
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Ongoing training and career advancement opportunities—we invest in what you want to learn
