Are you a safety-first problem-solver that’s ready to repair, replace, install, and maintain Structured Cabling, Fiber Optics, Access Control, and Video Surveillance systems for businesses and government facilities? We’re looking for experienced Low Voltage Electricians with a passion for helping our customers with their technology needs. Our next hire has the technical skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various problems, understands the importance of, and ensures all work adheres to national and local safety codes. Licenses are a bonus but not required. Apply to be our next electrician now! Duties include but are not limited to: • Running CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, Low-voltage Access Control, and Fiber Optic cables in both Inside-plant and Outside-plant environments. • Installing cabling in commercial buildings above acoustical ceilings, below raised floors, and in attics and crawl spaces where necessary. • Use of ladders and aerial lifts where necessary (must be comfortable with heights and confined spaces) • Use of manholes and hand holes for various underground installations. • The installation of conduit, including EMT, Rigid, and PVC conduit. • The installation of end-devices including phones, video cameras, door locks, wireless access points and others. Other Duties: • Operate company motor vehicles to travel to customer locations (must have valid Driver's License) • Operate basic hand tools including screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, hammers, and drills. • Operate specialty tools including fiber optic fusion splicers, cable testers, and OTDRs. • Work independantly and part of a team environment. Other Requirements: • Must be able to communicate respectfully and efficiently with team members and clients. • Must be able to work in a clean, orderly manner and clean up after yourself. • Must be able to present a professional demeanor to clients. • Must be able to work safely from a step ladder, extension lader, and aerial lift. • Must be familiar with general construction processes and be able to determine the proper fastener, hardware, etc. to complete tasks. • Must be able to document work, and use basic business software to submit work documentation and timesheets. Responsibilities: • Interpret and apply electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and wiring diagrams • Make sure the wiring is in accordance with all building codes and safety regulations • Install cabling and components, and test to ensure items are working properly. • Troubleshoot and test cabling systems and components to restore services in a timely fashion. • Ability to work from a ladder, scissor/boom lift, and conform to safety standards. Qualifications: • Clear communicator and can speak with tact and courtesy when dealing with customers • Applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent • Ability to lift 50 lbs • Ability to work in confined spaces, at great heights, and in all types of weather • Applicant must be able to pass a background check as a federal contractor employee Compensation: $40,000 - $60,000 yearly
