Protection Technologies LLC is seeking a self-motivated, reliable construction Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in installing and servicing security and low-voltage systems.
Responsibilities
Install, program, and service CCTV, Access Control, Locks, Intercom, Fire, and other low-voltage security systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential risks, providing effective solutions.
Install and configure hardware and related low-voltage components.
Review work orders to confirm materials and scope prior to arrival on site.
Document daily activities, including notes and photos, within company systems.
Maintain organized inventory of service parts and keep company property clean.
Complete work safely, on schedule, and with minimal disruption to the client.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant installation or service experience preferred.
Experience in construction security systems, low-voltage wiring, IT, carpentry, or related trades.
Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
Ability to read blueprints and perform basic measurements accurately.
OSHA 30 and SST required within 90 days (preferred at hire).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Professional communication skills (written and verbal).
Team-oriented, reliable, organized, and dependable.
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods and climb ladders/work at heights.
Ability to distinguish colors for wiring and terminations.
Ability to travel to multiple job sites both local and regional in the East Coast
