About the Role:

Oak Lane Schools Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced Lower School Director to lead and inspire our youngest learners in Philadelphia, PA. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the educational foundation of a vibrant school community while guiding a dedicated team of educators committed to student success.

Responsibilities:

Provide visionary leadership and day-to-day administrative oversight of all lower school programs and operations

Supervise, mentor, and evaluate lower school faculty and staff to foster professional growth and instructional excellence

Develop and implement curriculum aligned with best practices in early childhood and elementary education

Build and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and the broader school community

Monitor student progress and implement support strategies to ensure academic and social-emotional development

Collaborate with school leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and policy development

Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all lower school students

Requirements:

Advanced degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in elementary or lower school administration or leadership

Strong background in early childhood and elementary curriculum development and instruction

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teaching staff effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families, staff, and students

Experience with student assessment, data-driven instruction, and academic programming

Passionate, collaborative, and student-centered leadership style
