The Head Chef manages the daily operations of the Back of the House (BOH), focusing on food preparation, quality, and sanitation. Responsibilities also include supervising subordinates, managing BOH labor costs, waste, and controllable comps.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
High school diploma or GED required; degree in culinary arts, hospitality, business management, or related field preferred
Three or more years of experience in food preparation in a full-service restaurant and one or more years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities Include:
Managing BOH labor costs, waste, and controllable comps
Overseeing weekly BOH schedules
Handling seafood purchases from approved vendors
Coordinating with GM/AGM on payroll and time clock adjustments
Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities
Supervising purchasing/receiving departments
Maintaining high standards of service and product quality
Ensuring adherence to health regulations and LuLu’s Allergy Program
Overseeing kitchen opening and closing functions
Coordinating with event managers for on and off-site parties
Training, hiring, and supervising kitchen staff
Monitoring food storage, labeling, and rotation
Ensuring compliance with company policies and core values
Participating in continuing education and training
