Summary: Assists Bussing & Back-of-House departments with the sanitation of equipment, tableware, utensils & glassware. Ensures garbage is removed from work station on a regular basis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures all materials and supplies are available and sets up station according to established guidelines. Cleans, sanitizes and stocks station as needed
Receives buss pans & soiled tableware from co-workers to prepare items for cleanin
Removes food items prior to dishes being washed. Handles tableware and glassware carefully to prevent breakage and los
Presoaks plates, bowls and flatware prior to them being washed. Changes cleaning solution as needed throughout shif
Removes trash and other discarded items from workstation on a regular basis. Relines trash receptacle
Cleans up spills in kitchen dish area. Closes down station in accordance with department procedure
Assist Dishwasher with loading, running & unloading dish machine as needed. Inspects dishes after wash to ensure cleanlines
Assists in training new employees within the department in accordance with company standard
Communicates effectively with management and co-workers. Alerts managers to equipment malfunctions and/or hazardous condition
Completes all opening, running and closing duties as assigne
