Our busy shop is seeking an experienced lube technician to join our automotive service team. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks and fills, tire rotations, light bulb replacements, and inspections. This position requires some knowledge of the mechanical workings of different types of automobiles. Previous experience as a lube technician or automotive technician is desired. Responsibilities: • Document all service procedures performed and parts installed or replaced • Conduct oil changes and fluid inspections on customer vehicles, including emptying and refilling engine oil and checking and refilling transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant fluids • Oil and lube the chassis's component parts, and measure the tread depth and tire pressure • Track oil inventory and part usage, place reorders as necessary to keep the shop stocked • Offer suggestions to consumers for additional services based on mileage and vehicle history • Perform accurate digital vehicle inspections, highlighting the good and areas of needed service or repair Qualifications: • Strong customer service skills • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) • Lube technician experience of one or more years or related automotive experience is preferred • Comfortable using car lifts, jacks, and other garage equipment safely • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Compensation: $38,500 - $43,000
