Key Responsibilities
The position of Lube Tech requires
-Grease equipment, inspect and maintain auto grease levels, fittings, joints, bearings, and grease line connections to prevent mechanical wear.
-Perform oil & filter changes on heavy equipment (gear boxes, final drives, transmissions and diesel engines.)
-Inspection and top of equipment fluids (coolant, transmission, power steering, washer fluid, etc.)
-Perform tire change, air pressure checks and basic inspection.
-Technician will perform routine preventative maintenance.
-Replace basic components such as wiper blades, air filters, cabin filters, and light bulbs.
- Communicate clearly with mechanics and fleet manager regarding findings during service
- Utilization of fleet management software (Fleetio to document all services performed.
- Assist other technicians when needed and support overall shop work flow.
-Shop Cleanliness- maintain organize shop to ensure safety, efficiency, and a professional work environment. Clean as you go, don't leave a mess. Maintain a professional work environment that reflects on company quality.
Requirements
-Basic mechanical knowledge
-Ability to identify lubrication points and follow maintenance schedules
-Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good Communication Skills.
-Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, and work under equipment.
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Valid Drivers License (CDL)
-Utilization of safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE.)
