As the Account Receivable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial transactions and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments. Responsibilities: * Process accounts receivable invoices, payments, and adjustments accurately and efficiently. * Prepare and distribute customer statements, follow up on past-due accounts, and resolve payment discrepancies. * Monitor customer accounts for delayed or missed payments and take appropriate actions to rectify outstanding balances. * Collaborate with the sales team and customers to address inquiries related to billing and payments. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions and communications with customers. * Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and provide recommendations for improving collection processes. * Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and provide support during financial audits. Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in accounting or finance is a plus. * Proven experience as an account receivable clerk or in a similar role. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. * Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Prior experience in the lighting or related industry will be considered an asset.
