    Job Description

    JOB PURPOSE: The Corporate Trainer is responsible for conducting training in a job-specific area. They focus on teaching specific areas of knowledge or on the job capabilities needed for Hearing Instrument Specialists.

    ALL INTERNAL ASSOCIATES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AN ASSOCIATE POSITION TRANSFER FORM WITH MANAGER’S APPROVAL PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THIS POSITION.

    SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 

    • Train New Associates on key objective that are job specific
    • Teach virtual Apprentice classes, and lead/train for all aspects of the Apprentice program
    • Conduct, Organize and Evaluate Training
    • Direct structured learning experience
    • Plan, organize and implement a range of training activities
    • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert as a Hearing Aid Specialist
    • Identify and assess training needs

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
    • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
    • 1 year training experience preferred
    • Comfortable presenting both in person and via webinar to large and small groups
    • Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
    • Develop and host Training Webinars
    • Proficient with MedRx A2D Audiometers and software, video otoscope, REM, Tympanometry and Live Speech Mapping, preferred
    • The ability to use Deductive Reasoning to Troubleshoot to problem solve
    • Ability to constantly adapt in dynamic environment
    • Strong sense of team dynamics and ability to work with a variety of personalities and skill levels
    • Desire to learn video production and editing
    • High Attention to Detail and Ascetics
    • Acts as a liaison to operations and management through support role
    • Highly organized
    • Processes Monthly Expense Reports
    • Charismatic, articulate communicator, patient, motivated, creative, supportive, strong personality, adaptable, ethical, integrity, communicator, problem solver,
    • Must be a Team player
    • Travel will be required up to 25% (up to 50% during peak times)
    • Work with Director of Training and other Corporate Trainer and Regional Trainers creating curriculum that supports helping people hear better
    • Must have a quiet work environment with a stable internet connection
    • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

    EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    • Hearing Instrument Specialists or Audiologist
    • Minimum of 3-5 years hearing aid dispensing experience preferred
    • Previous training experience preferred
