    HOW YOU’LL HAVE AN IMPACT AT LUGANO DIAMONDS: You will bring your “can-do” attitude and spirit of determination to the People Operations team as a meticulous and details-oriented PEOPLE OPERATIONS MANAGER. You will take ownership for all People Operations, Benefits Administration, and HRIS activities. You will excel and utilize all your strengths in this high growth, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment. Some of your critical skills like collaboration, business acumen, and strong focus on attention to detail will bring you success in this role. Every day will be exciting as you experience a diverse and unique environment where you can thrive. You have at minimum 5 years of progressive Talent Management experience to the group with your curiosity and innovative ideas as we build out the People Team for Lugano Diamonds. This role is mentored directly by the Chief People Officer.

    AS A VITAL MEMBER OF THE PEOPLE OPERATIONS TEAM A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

    TALENT MANAGEMENT AND ENGAGEMENT

    • Creating amazing experiences for our employees across multiple states and regions in California.

    • Building and maintaining trusting relationships with all levels of management and employees.

    • Playing an active role in partnering with management and staff in the resolution of a wide variety of HR issues to include, HR administration, benefits, performance management, wage & hour, pay, and overall company policies.

    • Playing a crucial role in a team who are passionately building our world-class people function in support of our company culture.

    • Process paperwork and updates all applicable systems for both Voluntary and Involuntary terminations.

    • Administer New Hire Orientation for all New Hires and their successful integration into the Lugano Culture.

    • Act as a change agent and proactively recommend practice changes and innovative approaches to address management and business objectives.

    • Embed company culture and values, acting as a role model and champion.

    HRIS, BENEFITS AND ADMINISTRATION

    • Administration of Employee Services and Maintenance of Employee Records across all HR systems.

    • Ensuring employee data is correctly entered into the employee record keeping system and that all transactions are in legal compliance. This may include processing employee paperwork from pre-hire to termination.

    • Ensuring compliance with State and Federal guidelines, Leaves of Absence/time off programs, EEO-1, and areas of Employee Handbook interpretation that may have impact on compliance.

    • Managing Leave of Absence paperwork needed for LOA and provides Admin assistance to Medical, Parental, and personal leave requests. Assists in researching leave laws in all states that apply to an employee situation. Communicates leave laws to employees and correctly administers payroll paperwork to coordinate wages.

    • Benefits administration and support to our employees. Activities may include inquiries, enrollment, carrier data entry, and auditing.

    • Administering unemployment claims and all necessary reporting and paperwork.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM:

    • Minimum of 5 years general HR experience in a generalist or business partner role, preferably in a high growth/fast paced multi-state environment.

    • General knowledge of employment law and company policies

    • Working knowledge of Multi-State and Federal employment laws

    • Technological expertise with Microsoft Office, and complete HR Stack (ADP WFN, Jazz HR, etc. )

    • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate confidently, clearly and with precision. Effectively communicate issues that are complex in nature, both verbally and in writing, through various mediums.

    • Strong business acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative.

    • Ability to successfully multi-task and manage multiple projects and searches.

    • Skilled in project management and development including effective interpersonal skills, effective and concise written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to effectively manage change and ambiguity in ever evolving and innovative environment.

    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data to recognize, identify, and verify errors in systems used by onboarding.

    • Self-motivation/energy – must be able to demonstrate initiative and be proactive with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

    WHAT CAN HELP YOU REALLY STAND OUT:

    • 7+ year experience in HR Business Partner or People Operations Manager in a corporate setting.

    • Experience working in high growth/fast paced multi-state environment.

    • Experience working in progressive People Operations team.

    • Experience processing payroll and management of payroll and benefits data in the HRIS is helpful

    • Passion for personal development and growth in the HR industry and creating great experiences for our people.

    Status: Full-time, Exempt

    LOCATION: ONSITE

    Hours: Typical business hours, will require some flexibility, but with focus on work/life balance

    Physical requirements: Ability to sit and have screen time for long periods of time
