We are looking for a Deposits Compliance Manager who will assist in maintaining the Bank’s compliance program by performing regulatory compliance reviews that test and monitor compliance with federal and state banking laws and regulations.
WHAT WILL YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE? YOU WILL:
- Implement, support, and maintain all compliance-related programs including compliance monitoring and internal control testing and preparation of written reports to ensure compliance to laws and regulations.
- Assist with monitoring the implementation of corrective actions to address compliance-related issues revealed during monitoring activities, internal audits, and regulatory exams.
- Assist in the review of departmental policies and procedures, complaints, new and modified products, and the administration of online learning, as assigned.
- Assist in implementing procedures to comply with new regulations or changes to existing regulations.
- Assist in the review of any and all advertisements and communications for compliance with applicable advertising laws and regulations.
- Serve as a resource for regulatory matters and compliance-related initiatives relating to various lending and deposit laws and regulations.
- Communicate and report on regulatory developments and risk issues identified, may also support risk assessments.
- Assist and support research and analysis.
- Maintain current awareness of the regulatory environment and industry trends.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Some College/Associate’s Degree; three to five years compliance experience required; five to eight years compliance experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Proven experience with writing formal compliance reports.
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) Certificate preferred.
- Expert knowledge of the consumer and commercial lending, deposit, and privacy regulations applicable to banks; and, exhibit accountability/personal ownership for actions, decisions.
- Must have experience in compliance reporting and appropriate software systems.
- Requires strong verbal and written communication.
- Previous management experience is preferred.
