    Job Description

    LUXFER GAS CYLINDERS IS LOCATED IN RIVERSIDE, CA AND IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR A PART-TIME (25-29 HOURS PER WEEK) HR ASSISTANT FOR A 3-6 MONTH ASSIGNMENT.

    POSITION PURPOSE:

    Under direct supervision of the HR Administrator the HR Clerk will support the Riverside Campus and its employees in a number of clerical activities in the Human Resource function including but not limited to preparing documentation or tracking activities relating to recruitment, onboarding, benefit administration, payroll as well as being available to answer employee requests and questions.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • This position has no direct reports.

    MAIN ACTIVIES:

    The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

    • Provide day to day support of employees at the Luxfer Riverside Campus (Corporate and Manufacturing Plant).
    • Assist with the recruitment process as well as onboarding of new Luxfer or agency employees.
    • Assist with the Benefits Administration enrollment activities.
    • Provide training to new hires on how to utilize the Company’s time keeping system and employee portal.
    • Assist with processing hourly employee payroll (direct employee and agency employee) ensuring to follow all company processes.
    • Support internal customer service by being available to employee requests and questions. Responding to these requests and questions in a timely manner.
    • Assist with conducting portions of orientation with all new employees to the organization ensuring all employees are educated on the company’s policy and procedures and health and welfare benefits that they are eligible for.
    • Assist with employee events.
    • Assist with the coordination of agency employees. As needed, communicate with staffing agencies the need for resources as well as ending assignments.
    • Support other HR functions as required.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Associates Degree, or equivalent work experience, with at least 6 months of practical hands on experience working in Human Resources.
    • Strong phone, email and in person communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize important projects. Developing knowledge of California Labor Laws. Computer literacy.
    • Experience following tasks that have a predefined process.
