    We are seeking a talented and experienced Kitchen Designer to join our Cedarhurst team, focusing on creating bespoke kitchen designs that bring clients' visions to life. This role involves collaborating with our sales team and clients to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen solutions, while also overseeing the project from design to installation. The designer will take over after the initial client intake, working closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless transition and a high-quality client experience. This position combines creative design expertise with project management responsibilities, requiring a deep understanding of kitchen design principles and the ability to manage timelines and coordinate with installation teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with sales team members and clients to understand project requirements, preferences, and budgets, translating them into detailed kitchen designs.
    • Create precise 2D/3D CAD drawings and presentations to showcase design concepts, incorporating client feedback to refine layouts.
    • Develop comprehensive kitchen design plans, including cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and finishes, ensuring functionality and aesthetic alignment.
    • Act as a project manager, overseeing the design process through to installation, coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and installation teams to ensure timely and accurate execution.
    • Conduct site visits in New York to verify measurements using laser measuring technology and assess project feasibility.
    • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.
    • Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project, addressing questions and providing updates on progress.
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.
    • Stay updated on kitchen design trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative and competitive solutions.
    • Provide technical expertise and recommendations to clients on kitchen layouts, storage solutions, and material selections.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a kitchen designer, with a proven track record of designing and delivering bespoke kitchen projects.
    • Extensive knowledge of kitchen design principles, including layout optimization, cabinetry, appliances, and material specifications.
    • Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) for creating detailed design presentations.
    • Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing kitchen design projects from concept to completion.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams, clients, and installation crews to ensure a cohesive project workflow.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Familiarity with New York's building codes, regulations, and construction practices is a plus.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics and functionality in kitchen design.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with varying timelines.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in interior design, architecture, or a related field preferred.

    Compensation

    • Base Salary : $90,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience.
