  • Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibility:

    • To run and facilitate proposal development, based on client feedback and key win themes for project pursuits.
    • Facilitate contract and negotiation process for projects after selection.
    • Serve as a commissioning subject matter expert, project manager and Client Coordinator for clients and projects.
    • Ensure that projects are delivered within the agreed upon cost, quality, schedule and profit
    • Develop and execute commissioning plans, testing and reporting.
    • Initiates and leads all phases of comprehensive design through post-occupancy commissioning. Provide managerial direction and work assignments to commissioning engineers, commissioning specialists and other project team members.
    • Develop and manage work plans and complete projects on time and within budget.
    • Lead or contribute to commissioning proposal development, including technical approach and pricing.
    • Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems.
    • Manage project resources and subcontractors.
    • Develop and execute commissioning plans, testing and reporting.
    • Facilitate proposal development, based on client feedback and key win themes for project pursuits.

    Requirements:

    • Subject matter expert in commissioning, retro-commissioning and/or energy related projects.
    • Strong facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem solving skills.
    • Proven ability to develop business and establish relationships with clients.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage work plans, schedules and budgets and provide leadership to a diverse project team.
    • Highly effective communicator with clear and concise writing and presentation skills.
    • High level of attention to detail with an ability to self-QC work.
    • Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • The ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change.
    • Demonstrated success in project management.
    • Understanding of site safety procedures, including electrical safety
    • Certification in the Commissioning Process, as an Energy Manager, or LEED Accreditation a plus.
    • Specific experience with combined heat and power/cogeneration a plus.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Contractor License in California.
    • Minimum 10 years of related commissioning experience.
    • Excellent presentation skills necessary for running project meetings and marketing.
    • Expert communicator; solid verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
    • Effective negotiation and dispute resolution skills, analytical and decision-making.
