We are seeking a talented and innovative architect and laboratory planner with relevant experience in laboratory programming, planning and design for pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology companies, academic and/or biomedical research institutions, governmental and/or independent research institutions. Applicants must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with client’s and their senior management representatives, scientists, laboratory managers and technicians, facilities and project managers, and other project stakeholders in determining and documenting programmatic requirements. They should also have the ability to communicate and work effectively with principals, managers, designers, technical staff, external consultants, vendors, program and/or construction managers, and contractors. Requirements: • 8+ years’ experience • Professional degree in architecture • Licensed architect or in progress • LEED AP or within 6 months of hire • Proficient in Revit • Advanced knowledge of design process, construction documentation, construction administration and materials • Promotes firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability. • Ability to direct, mentor and coordinate work efforts of project team • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, listening and written including client presentation skills • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within a laboratory
