    Our Biotech client is seeking an Operational Excellence Director acts as the organization’s leader for Operational Excellence deployment and Business Process Improvement for the company. Incumbent is a change agent responsible for leading the organization into a data driven, team-oriented culture that embraces continuous improvement, and ensures the implementation of such in all business functions across the organization. Works with leadership to lead and guide all Operational Excellence related initiatives. 

    • Develop the strategy for the Operational Excellence program in alignment with the goals for the organization.
    • Build out a plan for skill development across the organization in alignment with projects.
    • Establish and maintain OpEx programs, tailored to enable roles at all levels within the organization.
    • Lead the Operational Excellence program to drive completion of critical projects that impact the business.
    • Partner with functional managers, site leads, and project leads in driving selected projects to meet business targets aligned with the site objectives.
    • Enables teams through mentoring and coaching to reach their high-performing capability
    • Develop and execute various trainings needed to overcome primary constraints
    • Leads change management initiatives with best practice methodology as a framework
    • Initiates and oversees business transformation and productivity initiatives in a manner that systematically improves operational execution and delivers superior results to internal and external stakeholders
    • Develop a mechanism to capture and track benefits/savings associated with operational improvement initiatives
    • Monitors business and project activity to assure organizational improvement efficiency gains and costs.

    REQUIREMENTS 

    • 5+ years in an Operational Excellence or Business Excellence role within a regulated environment preferably in bio/pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life science industry.
    • Bachelor’s or advanced degree
    • Strong experience in a GMP environment
    • Strong knowledge of Operational Excellence and Lean philosophies and tools
    • Six-Sigma, Lean or similar certification required (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred)
    • Experience in applying systematic and rigorous analytical methods to improve processes, including the following methodologies/tools: Six Sigma (DMAIC), Value Stream Mapping, Control Plans, Mistake Proofing, Root Cause and Corrective Action, Kaizen, 5S
    • Experienced in change management methodology and deployment
    • Experience in strategic planning, process improvement, project execution, and data/business analytics
    • A proven record of accomplishments in continuous improvement events/projects, team leadership and problem-solving, demonstrated success initiating change and influencing at all levels.
    • Experience in change management and organizational transformation
    • Strong data analytics capability
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills including proven track record in facilitation, training, and

      presentation.

    • Ability to be comfortable in a clean room environment
    • Must utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Must be able to handle the standard/moderate noise of the manufacturing facility
    • May be required to travel to other sites.
