  • Responsibilities

    Provide instrumentation/calibration services, which includes but not limited to; calibrate, test, install, repair, troubleshoot, inspect maintain metering and recording instruments, controlling devices, data logging and display equipment, communications and telemetry systems, and performs related work as required. The position will support operations, MSAT, PD, Supply Chain, QC, QA and other departments as assigned.

    •  Calibrate a variety of measurement and/or control instrumentation, including but not limited to controllers, indicators and transmitters. Measurement parameters including but not limited to temperature, pressure, speed, weight, time, liquid level, pH and conductivity/resistivity.
    • Complete calibration data sheets in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management system) as required
    • Assist in managing contractors and reviewing their service reports to ensure compliance
    • Assist in developing calibration methodologies and drafting calibration procedures, which are consistent with the metrology practice and industry standards.
    • Assist in identifying critical spare parts
    • Participate with Corporate communities of practice and engineering excellence forums to ensure compliance of the site while providing SME (Subject Matter Expert) on some initiatives.

     REQUIREMENTS

    •  Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with a degree of self-motivation.
    • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to both work independently as well as team oriented.
    • 5 Plus years general calibration experience.
    • 3 plus year’s calibration experience in pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
    • Military calibration training or equivalent.
    • Experience working with electronic calibration management systems preferred

    • Capable of working both as part of a team or autonomously – previous team leadership and facilitation skills will be a plus. 
    • Knowledge and application of methodologies and tools (e.g. Root Cause Analysis, Structured problem solving)
    • Previous experience in pharmaceutical/Life Sciences/medical device would be an advantage.
