    About the role…

    The service desk is the core of our business. Ensuring our clients receive excellent support is a primary focus for our team. We are seeking a motivated individual eager to work in a stimulating, fast-paced and fun atmosphere. The Systems Engineer will head up onsite technical support for a hospitality and resort client based in Palm Springs, CA. Responsibilities will include:

    • To maintain a first-class level of customer service insuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.

    • Proficient at designing, building, migrating and maintaining:

    1. Business networks and systems, including hardware
    2. Window Servers and Active Directory, DNS
    3. Secure and redundant infrastructures, i.e. AV, firewalls, GPO, high-availability solutions
    4. Microsoft Exchange and email security/filtering solutions
    5. Office 365 Admin (Outlook/Teams/OneDrive
    6. MS Azure
    7. TCP/IP and Wi-Fi Networking
    8. Spam Management
    9. Point-of-Sale Systems
    10. Apple Device Management
    11. Physical Access Control Systems
    12. Security camera systems

    • Manage and execute projects to meet deadlines and client expectations.

    • Configure & manage Microsoft Server & Exchange Servers with PowerShell expertise.

    • Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade various the following:

    1. VMware technologies
    2. Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop environments
    3. NAS and SAN technologies
    4. Firewall and NAT, Oracle OPERA Cloud PMS, JAMF Pro MDM; Mimecast Administration; Dormakaba/SAFLOK; Hikvision NVRs
    5. Install, configure, and troubleshoot all network equipment, routers, firewall, switches, wireless access points, and SSL-VPN setups from various vendors, such as Cisco, Extreme, HP, Meraki SD-WAN, Netgear, SonicWALL, UniFi.
    6. Provide Disaster Recovery and backup solutions and support using eVault, Zerto, Veeam, Shadow Protect, and others.

    • Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature.

    • Manage inventory including software, licenses, and product delivery

    • Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions.

    We are targeting candidates with the following credentials:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Substantial experience with Windows Servers
    • Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts
    • Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology including AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units
    • Clearly demonstrated knowledge and experience with VMware and Citrix XenApp
    • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills, including skill at speaking to staff at all levels of Management
    • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team

    This job requires a valid driver's license, use of a vehicle to travel to client locations and the ability to move heavy equipment such as servers and computers.
