Lyra Technology is looking for a remarkable technician to step into a Project Engineer role at one of their Operating Companies located in Pittsburgh, PA.

As a Project Engineer on the Project Team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle; including, but not limited to, scopes of work creation, walkthroughs, implementing hardware, end-user support, managing resources, customer communication, creation of network diagrams and other technical related items.

Responsibilities include:

• Implement projects based on formal hand-off from Sales or Account Management Team
• Work closely with Project Manager and customers to create Scopes of Work to follow for implementation
• Communicate effectively with customer and team members to ensure you are providing the highest level of service and satisfaction
• Implement solutions according to JENLOR provided designs and procedures
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware issues, software issues, and end user issues
• Research issues using available information, resources, and your team
• Document resolutions and create knowledge base articles
• Onsite visits to install product and/or troubleshoot network issues and provide post-install support

Required experience:

• 3+ years experience designing and deploying IT infrastructure

• Project Management skills will be required for this position

• Previous MSP Project Implementation experience a plus

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in technical field, or combination of relevant certifications and experience

• Extensive experience with network design and implementation is required, along with related experience with client infrastructure, including PC's and mobile devices

Competence/Skillsets include:

• Microsoft-based Server environments, SonicWall products, disk-based and Cloud backup solutions and related network infrastructure including PC's and mobile devices

• Microsoft Server OS administration and configuration

• Functional knowledge of core networking concepts including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS/DDNS

• Functional knowledge of modern cybersecurity solution, including MFA, email security, endpoint protection, etc.

• Microsoft Exchange/M365 administration with migration and upgrade experience required

• Sharp troubleshooting skills and creative thinking skills required

• LAN/WAN (VPN, VLAN, Firewalls, etc.) theoretical knowledge required

• Microsoft Certification(s) a plus

• Vmware Certification a plus

This role is remote with minimal office visits for meetings, gatherings, etc. Frequency will depend on Department Manager. This position is required to go onsite to Customer locations as required by their needs.
