    Lyte is seeking a Business Development Principal to develop our go-to-market strategy for Major League Baseball (MLB). This person will understand the unique problem statements and opportunities presented by MLB at both the league and where applicable, individual team-levels. You will leverage your extensive relationship network to be Lyte's envoy to teams and the league with responsibility for scoping the business, driving product fit, getting deals done, and pushing projects to implementation - a thinker and doer. You will help identify product/feature use cases that apply to teams or scenarios, developing and executing the go-to-market strategy to drive growth for Lyte and its MLB partners. 

    The ideal candidate is analytical and possesses significant business development experience. This candidate must also have a high level of experience within the ticketing industry specifically as it relates to MLB, such as overseeing primary and/or secondary deals (on the buy or sell side), having responsibility for yield management on attendees or ticket sales, and monitoring ticket inventory and sales trends in partnership with sales and analytics staff to maximize revenue opportunities. You will guide Lyte's business development strategy for MLB. We are looking for ambitious, intelligent, and hard-working team players with a strong sense of ownership to join us. 

    THIS ROLE WILL:

    ·      Identify new business and partnership opportunities within Major League Baseball, while prioritizing by opportunity size, path to integration, and overall value to the company

    ·      Lead in the development and execution of Lyte's go-to-market strategy for MLB

    ·      Create, manage, and grow a prospective pipeline to drive strategic partnership growth 

    ·      Employ solution-based selling to define, author, and present Lyte's products and services to the market for league-wide adoption

    ·      Perpetually bring first-hand knowledge of coming-to-market innovations from ticket sales and distribution companies to internal teams (including Product) for product ideation

    ·      Forecast, budget, and manage a P&L for Lyte's MLB business 

    ·      Bring cross-functional teams together and partner with leadership to evaluate new opportunities, make strategic recommendations, and structure, negotiate, and close deals

    ·      Work closely and lead internal communications with Tech to provide market feedback that defines product and feature development; with Marketing on value proposition and messaging; with Finance and Legal on commercial deal terms

    ·      Coordinate and participate in networking events, industry conferences, and speaking/panel opportunities to increase visibility, evangelize Lyte's unique offering, and educate the market on our value proposition to increase awareness and drive revenue growth

    THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL: 

    ·      7-10+ years of experience in sales, business, or corporate development in the ticketing and/or ticketing-related fields serving Major League Baseball. Up-to-date knowledge of latest ticketing resources, trends, and technologies; thorough knowledge and proficiency of various ticketing systems

    ·      Minimum of 3-5 years cross-functional team leadership/management experience

    ·      Fact-based, data-driven approach to opportunity assessment

    ·      Demonstrated experience and success building partnerships

    ·      A robust and up-to-date network of reliable, decision-making contacts within the MLB ecosystem

    ·      Experience with an emerging organization that is building their brand from the ground up

    ·      Ability to thrive in a fast-growing start-up, with awareness about the opportunities and challenges that come with a highly adaptive environment

    ·      Ability to identify market trends, analyze feedback, and amend strategies accordingly

    ·      A mature executive who seeks collaboration with colleagues
