Retail Operations managers keep the supply chain moving at M&D Supply. Areas of operational responsibility include: customer service, purchasing, inventory control, pricing, visual merchandising, facilities maintenance, and information technology support. Supervisory responsibilities include hiring, training, developing and evaluating human resources.
Tasks
Provide amazing customer service including but not limited to: sales, loading, cashiering, stocking, performing services offered
Assist with preparing employee performance reviews
Ensure that all operations members are trained on new policies and procedures
Monitor goals for ACE REWARDS PROGRAM
Monitor and review mystery shops staff
Assist in off-site and on-site training as necessary
Oversee safety/security issues in all stores
Plan and attend monthly store meetings
Read and reply to e-mails
Supervisory Duties
Hiring - identify, screen and select qualified applicants for open positions
Training and development – facilitate the learning of job related knowledge, skills and behavior
Planning and Scheduling - develop goals and strategies to coordinate operational activities
Leading – work with and through people to execute M&D’s value proposition
Conflict management - recognize / respond incompatible differences between employees and customers and promote solutions
Discipline – assist in administering corrective action when employees fail to meet attendance, performance or conduct requirements
Plan and conduct staff meetings
Train team members on new policies and procedures
Attend Manager Meetings and training seminars
