    M. GORDON PUBLISHING GROUP, INC. (MGPG) was founded in 1995 and has a history of building businesses around expert knowledge. The company currently has a position available for a Fitness Industry Social Media Specialist.

    MGPG’s Social Media Specialist will be the creative force behind all of the social media channels pertaining to our PowerAbs Programs. You will be responsible for developing, posting, and managing organic digital and social media campaigns across multiple channels.

    You’ll design organic branding campaigns, craft social media posts, manage our social media communities, create videos, identify and engage influencers, track and optimize social media metrics, and more!

    Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic social media and digital marketing specialist with a background in fitness knowledge and proven experience operating in B2C markets.

    As the Social Media Specialist, you are responsible for daily social content creation, optimization, and community engagement across social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.

    This role not only requires strong writing and video skills but also a keen and continual awareness of the latest trends in digital and social media marketing. You will actively manage end-to-end digital and social campaigns including identifying and targeting audiences, developing brand voices, writing copy, editing video, establishing competitive benchmarks, developing and presenting monthly metrics reports, and managing relationships with digital and social partners.

    THIS IS A VIRTUAL/REMOTE POSITION THAT WORKS EAST COAST HOURS.

    IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

    • Most Important - You have a proven history of building Social Media sites, especially Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. You must be able to prove growth and sustainability in the channels you have worked on.

    • You will build and identify the brand message while posting multiple times a day across multiple channels

    • Must be proficient in IG, IG Stories, IG Live, and IGTV

    • Must be proficient in Facebook, FB Groups, FB Live, and Messenger

    • Must be proficient in all aspects of YouTube.

    • Stay on top of current trends, social ad platform changes, and social advertising strategies to ensure our efforts are leading-edge.

    • Knowledge of Social Media Automation

    • Drive the growth of multiple social media platforms (especially Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, and YouTube) by applying the company’s social media strategy

    • Create and execute a calendar of proactive content that mixes core brand message, marketing campaigns, company news, and topical events.

    • Develop a synchronized content, messaging, and relationship-building strategy.

    • Post to the sites on an ongoing basis in the context of that strategy.

    • Engage with influencers, prospects, and customers across social networks.

    • Report weekly on progress against key metrics including followers, engagement, campaign performance, and efficiency.

    • Develop ideas for compelling social content that engages our audience, grows our community, and inspires action. Collaborate with internal and external partners to bring these ideas to life.

    • Provide tailored advice on social media best practices; present on social media strategy, execution, and analytics at various internal meetings.

    • Live video and post from firm and client events. Prospect for opportunities to recognize client accomplishments and wins, and provide kudos through social media.

    WHO YOU ARE:

    • 1-4 years experience with expertise in social media, content, and creative

    • Passionate about fitness, especially women's fitness.

    • Video and Image Editing Skills including but not limited to Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, etc.

    • Creative individual and enthusiastic self-starter focused on delivering results.

    • Comfortable with data and analytics and has a continuous improvement mindset.

    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability of completing projects in an appropriate and timely manner.

    • Concept, produce, and edit mobile-first content for all platforms and target audiences, based on marketing priorities

    • Partner with cross-functional teams (among others) to extend cohesive brand messaging and strategy across social media channels

    • Stays current with social platform tech and trend developments and best practices in an effort to push innovative concepts and test/learn campaigns

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Familiarity with social media photography, video, boomerangs, time-lapses, and other engaging content formats.

    • Test, optimize, and refine campaigns across all platforms.

    • Analyze available data, produce monthly reports, and present findings and recommendations to clients and the CEO.

    • Google Analytics certification is preferred but not required.

    • 1-4 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, and web in a B2C organization.

    • A proven history of business success on Instagram and Facebook is a must.

    • Experience building social media strategy for a B2C fitness brand. Executing on that strategy, and reporting results.

    • Develop weekly, monthly, analytics reporting on social media performance

    • Strong creativity and passion for creating high engagement content

    • Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail

    • Demonstrated success working remotely with team members located across different time zones
