    MARKETING MANAGER - MINNEAPOLIS, MN

    WESTWOOD PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, INC.

     

    WESTWOOD PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, INC. is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our team in our Minneapolis, MN office. This position is responsible for leading the Power Division’s brand development strategy, enhancing business development efforts through-out the Division and facilitating Division specific communications and client relations projects. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. 

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead external communications strategy for Power • Evaluate business competitors and build plans to reinforce Westwood’s position • Interact with the Division Leadership, Market and Service teams to understand the business • Define Power’s brand identity within Westwood standards • Lead BrandFolder initiative for Power • Lead ongoing Power marketing collateral updates, including website content and print materials • Own annual and periodic client gift process • Support industry event planning • Lead social platform communications • Support internal messaging (Compass posts, presentations, etc.) • Support prequalification initiatives • Work with Corporate Brand Communication team to ensure alignment and synergy with Westwood’s strategic plan as it relates to Client Communication, Brand Strategy, Public Relations etc. • Build relationships outside the company and actively participate in professional organizations

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Communications or related field • Experience marketing professional services • Effective written and verbal communication 

     

    FOR PREFERRED CONSIDERATION:

    • Experience in industries related to power, utilities, renewable energy, and high-growth organizations

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience:

    Doctoral degree in cytogenetics or appropriate discipline. Must be qualified to manage and direct the laboratory personnel and performance of laboratory testing in accordance with all accrediting bodies, such as CLIA, CAP, MD DOH, NY DOH, AABB as it applies to clinical cytogenetic testing.

     

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. High ability to interact with a wide variety of internal and external customers in complex and sensitive circumstances.  High level of interpersonal and communication skills necessary. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management.

     

    Math Ability:

    Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability, validity and analysis.

     

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables

     

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in using Microsoft Office products in addition to various other software products including the Laboratory Information System. Working knowledge of DNA Analysis Software.
