    The Healthcare Data Analyst ensures that projects are completed on time and in ways that are clinically, scientifically, and statistically sound. Working with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, the Healthcare Data Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, display and interpretation of data to help inform team decisions, further team goals, and ultimately drive the team toward successful completion of projects designed to improve health care in our communities.

    Please note: This is a 6-month position that is benefit eligible! 

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING FOR US:

    • Assist with the review, analysis, and interpretation of clinical data for quality improvement studies and initiatives, analytic services, research, or care management projects
    • In collaboration with internal stakeholders, develop regularly scheduled and ad-hoc data reports
    • Assist with the design and application of effective data analytic methodologies and programming solutions
    • Act as the liaison to the internal IT department on issues related to analytics and technology, including software needs, as needed
    • Assist with the standardization of processes for producing reports, including documentation of operating procedures
    • Inform team decision making with data
    • Generate technical manuals, reports, and other documentation.
    • Adhere to all internal quality control processes for programming and data reporting to maintain data integrity
    • Design and implement studies of health care processes and outcomes
    • Obtain, validate, and analyze data from both internal and external sources
    • Design, build and maintain data entry tools for primary data collection
    • Interact with other team members, committees, consultants, and external customers to develop and implement projects.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships and communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
    • Maintain open lines of communication, and willingly share knowledge with others.
    • Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to ensure coordinated and integrated service delivery for internal and external customers.
    • Prepare recommendations, data summaries, and written reports for committees, project officers and external customers
    • Make presentations to and prepare performance reports for physicians, other health care providers and consumers

    Required Skills

    WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR OUR ROLE:

    • Expertise in manipulating and analyzing large datasets
    • Competency in developing effective data visualizations and graphics using Tableau/Power BI or comparable applications
    • Knowledge of statistics or biostatistics and the appropriate application of analytic methods
    • At least 4 years of experience in programming (SAS, SQL, R, Python, or other languages)
    • Proficiency in presenting complex information in a clear and compelling format
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks in a team environment
    • Excellent attention to detail

    Required Experience

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • BA/BS in a related field; equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related field may be substituted

    Preferred

    • MA/MS in a related field
    • 4 years of data analysis, research, and/or other relevant work experience
    • Prior work experience in healthcare
