  • Responsibilities

    This is a PRN position that will typically be scheduled, as needed, 12 hour shifts, 0545-1815 or 1745-0615, on variable days, including weekends and holidays, and will independently work in all areas.  Delivery of newborns, medical/surgical patients, and emergencies, to include out of hospital transports. Please know that schedules and shifts are subject to change based on patient care and department/organizational needs.

     

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Respiratory Therapist, under the supervision of the Manager, provides Respiratory Therapy and life support to patients of all ages with acute and chronic illnesses affecting the cardiopulmonary system. Care is related to the provision of diagnostic testing, therapeutic procedures, patient and/or family education. Care is delivered within the scope of practice as governed by the Montana Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REQUIRES: High School Graduate; graduate of a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care Program; current Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner License; current BLS, ACLS, NRP, & PALS Certifications or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.

     

    PREFERRED: Current NBRC credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

  • Qualifications
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Working knowledge of computers for tasks including reading email, logging hours and entering work order information
    • Ability to work independently, but also an excellent collaborator and team player
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
    • Knowledge in commercial and residential plumbing
    • Ability to perform work with prolonged standing, bending and working in cramped areas
    • Capability to read and interpret building drawings and prints
    • Knowledge of state and local plumbing codes
