    We are seeking to hire a SENIOR FPGA ENGINEER to join our FPGA design team based at our corporate headquarters located in Andover, MA, USA which is about 30 minutes north of Boston.

     

    The Senior FPGA Engineer will work with a cross-functional team of engineers to develop, test, integrate and verify Verilog HDL designs for DSP based FPGAs and to perform research and development of new FPGA implementations, FPGA tools, and debug tools for use in future products.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • FPGA design and verification for high performance signal process design.
    • Convert design to RTL code.  Debug and verify design with test vectors.
    • Work closely with DSP Algorithm engineers to optimize design on FPGA systems.
    • Provide sustaining support for existing product lines. This may include analysis and resolution of field issues and/or manufacturing issues.
    • Document FPGA designs, simulations and verification results.
    • Pass on specific and general engineering and FPGA design skills to others in the company.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or equivalent. Graduate degree preferred.
    • 5+ to 7 years of related RTL/FPGA and/or ASIC design experience.
    • Fluent in Verilog, System Verilog and Altera/Xilinx design tools.
    • Understand Xilinx or Altera FPGA silicon designs.
    • Knowledge of OFDM, Filter and FEC coding.
    • Experience with block level and full IP verification and reference models.
    • Optimize synthesis and P&R for performance on FPGA.
    • Ability to work independently, solve problems and take ownership of technical issues.
    • Ability to work cooperatively in team environment.

    • Knowledge of C/C++ and DSP is plus.
