    Job Description

    FIELD SAFETY MANAGER

    PROJECT LOCATION: TBD

    CORPORATE OFFICE: East Peoria, IL

     

    SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

     

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree is preferred but not required

    EXPERIENCE: 10-15 years’ experience in Industrial Construction with a focus on Safety Management

    SALARY: Submit Salary Requirements – DOE

    FIELD SAFETY MANAGER

    1. Review project scope and site prior to construction starting in conjunction with the Safety Director to determine safety related risks and how to address them.

    2. Work with project management teams and field staff to develop and implement solutions to safety related issues onsite.

    3. Interface between both M&W corporate office staff and client safety management team.

    4. Complete, report and maintain safety related paperwork specific to the project.

    5. Training company employees on safe work practices.

    6. Disciplining employees and subcontractors who fail to comply with project safety standards.

    7. Provide input on design and constructability to Project Manager, as necessary.

    8. Arrange, prepare for, and hold regular jobsite meetings with field staff, field supervision, subcontractors, and other trades onsite to advise on upcoming activities, safety awareness and project progress.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    Qualified applicants should possess the following:

    1. 5-10 years’ experience in industrial construction.

    2. Direct knowledge and experience in trade specific work in industrial construction as well as OSHA standards and regulations as they apply.

    3. Excellent record keeping abilities and strong organizational skills.

    4. Strong understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and signs of maintenance issues.

    5. Effective leadership abilities, like motivation, goal setting and conflict management.

    6. Ability to work independently.

    7. Flexibility to work nights and weekends when required.

    8. Ability to use a computer and familiarity with AutoCAD/Navisworks, Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications to include SharePoint and One Drive.
