MAC Rx is hiring a Pre-Pack Pharmacy Technician to join our team!

FULL TIME - TUESDAY - SATURDAY 4:00PM-12:30AM

PART TIME - TUESDAY AND THURSDAY 7:30AM - 4:00PM

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain efficient Pre-Pack production of all “fast moving” medications on a daily basis. This position is also responsible for organization and maintaining workflow within a team based environment.

Duties include:

• Prepares “pre pack” blister cards for pharmacy using MTS Machines or “hand packing”

• Use of MTS Machines to prepare a high volume of production on a daily basis

• Maintain cleanliness

• Ensure Quality Assurance during all assigned duties

• Putting away stock bottles back to assigned locations

• Keep open communication within other MAC Rx departments

REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of spelling and commercial arithmetic

• Ability to operate pharmacy machines which do not require special training other than skills which may be acquired on the job

• High efficiency and strong attention to detail

• Problem solver

• Able to work within a team-oriented environment

• Able to work with the Microsoft Office suite

• Ability to write in a clear and legible manner

• Able to lift heavy items, up to 40 pounds

• Production line experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work can be moderate to heavy with occasional lifting and carrying of supplies and occasional climbing to retrieve supplies. Stooping, kneeling and crouching may occur when unpacking supplies. Considerable standing and walking is involved in performing duties.
