The primary responsibilities of this position include processing accounts payable and accounts receivable and to assist the Accounting Manager in maintaining accounting records. Mantis Innovation is a fast-paced, growing company looking for someone who is known for having excellent organizational skills that can adapt and learn quickly in our ever-changing environment.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
o Processing, preparing, and tracking vendor payments in our accounting software, Quickbooks and Intacct
o Matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers
o Invoice and disbursement filing
o Provide tax exempt certificate when required by vendors or staff and follow up if taxed
o Ensure W9's, and Certificate of Liability insurance for all vendors is current qualifications
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE:
o Work with Project Accounting to set up initial invoicing parameters
o Create and send invoices
o Apply cash receipts
o Help with collection of past due balances
o Assist in vendor set up process with clients
WHAT ELSE IS IMPORTANT?
You have the ability to question everything that crosses your desk with an aptitude for learning quickly. You also should have an excellent communication style with the team and all of our employees as well as our 3rd party advisor. You can do general accounting and administration support: help with G/L account reconciliation and quarter-end closing, as well as other ad hoc projects. You are amenable to doing other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
