    VP SALES, MANTIS INNOVATION – FACILITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES DIVISION (FMS)

     ABOUT MANTIS:

    Within the broader Mantis organization, the FMS division focuses on providing clients with significant portfolios of facilities asset management/maintenance, design, and project execution services primarily involving the roofing, pavement, building envelope, and solar assets within those facilities. 

     

    OVERVIEW:

    The VP Sales, FMS, will manage a team of sales professionals seeking to establish new FMS accounts from territories of high priority facilities owners/operators deemed likely to convert into high quality accounts based on firmographic and facilities/real estate characteristics.  The VP Sales, FMS role’s primary responsibility will be to lead and coach each of their team members to high levels of sales productivity.  The right candidate will have demonstrable experience building and leading high performing sales teams, ideally in the facilities management and/or broader business services spaces.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Lead a team of ~8-10 sales professionals to meet and exceed a sales target
    • Motivate and coach (through 1:1 meetings, “ride-alongs”, and team meetings) team members to meet/exceed their individual sales productivity targets
    • Hold team members accountable to meeting the activity and pipeline expectations that will over time produce the desired sales productivity levels
    • Work closely with team members to help them drive high priority deals through the sales process/pipeline to close in order to increase our win rate and pipeline velocity
    • Provide guidance and coaching to team members as they seek to achieve their professional development objectives
    • Ensure each team member’s sales pipeline is up to date, accurate, and able to support a sound forecasting process and relevant operational preparedness
    • Leverage Mantis’s commercial data, metrics, and reporting to identify and capture opportunities for performance improvement across the team
    • Collaborate with Mantis’s revenue operations function to implement Mantis’s targeting model (prioritized lists of accounts) through Mantis’s coverage model (territories)
    • Collaborate with Mantis’s sales enablement team to ensure that all team members receive effective onboarding/training and incorporate Mantis’s FMS sales best practices into their day-to-day execution of their roles
    • Collaborate with Mantis’s HR team to identify, recruit, and hire high-quality sales rep candidates to grow the Mantis FMS sales team
    • Collaborate closely with Marketing team and Lead Generation
    • Own Mantis' referral program internally
    • Coordinate with Mantis commercial leadership within FMS and across divisions to optimize commercial performance and ensure efficient deployment of sales and marketing resources
    • 10+ years of experience building and leading successful sales teams
    • Consultative/complex solutions sales/sales management experience
    • Sales or sales management experience in some combination of the facilities management, roofing, paving, windows/doors, or solar spaces preferred
    • General consultative/solutions-oriented business services sales/sales management experience is also relevant
    • Demonstrable experience leading sales teams to meet and exceed sales targets
    • Data and metrics orientation and experience working with major CRM systems preferred
    • Polished verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor capable of leading interactions with C-level buyers/stakeholders within large accounts
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of time
