MAIN PURPOSE:
The Customer Service Associate role is to provide an enhanced level of customer services and operational support when dealing with shipment specific and other service related issues.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To monitor all inbound and outbound shipments on daily basis to ensure that shipments are delivered within agreed time
- To advise customers on daily basis of any services related issues (Customs detentions, ETA flights/trucks)
- Working with customers on daily basis with the aim of developing an excellent working
- Analysis of repetitive operational problems and development of possible service
- Advise customer latest booking times and documentation
- Booking shipment with use of Marken booking
- Liaise with all relevant departments within the Global and Domestic Marken network to ensure that all customer requirements are met
- Working all Marken offices and Local Service Providers to ensure the Logistics transfer is handled efficiently, thus meeting desired turnaround times
- Supporting other departments within Marken – Customer Relationship Management/Transport/Operations and Sales
- Supplying customers with Marken Service information
- Providing customer information to the Sales team
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Courier or Freight Industry Experience desired
- Understanding of Aviation/Airline Networks
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others
- Excellent problem solving and prioritization skills essential.
- Flexibility in working hours required, to include weekend coverage when needed
