Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Deli/Prepared Foods Clerk to join the team at our successful store. As a Deli Clerk you will be responsible for operating the Deli department to the high standards set forth by the company. You will take care of customers, Slice Meats and Cheese, Stock and Rotate Cheese and Meat Coolers and help with the daily running of the meat department, as specified in-store guidelines and follow the store’s meat merchandising plan. You will help with the preparation and packaging of prepared foods for the Kiosk. The Deli clerk's goal is to help drive sales within the meat department, maximize profitability and give good customer service.

Responsibilities

Slice meats and cheeses, using slicers and knives

Package and display prepared foods in Kiosk

Order inventory and maintain retail meat and cheese retail coolers

Receive and inspect deliveries as it arrives to the store

Ensure the cold chain is unbroken and products remain high quality

Follow high standards of sanitation and quality control

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age

High school diploma/GED required

Experience using meat cutting equipment, power equipment, and hand tools

Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30lbs
