    Job Description

    The Master Planner is responsible for developing, initiating, maintaining, directing and communicating the master production schedule to meet customer demand, optimize inventory levels, and support operational and financial goals. This role works cross-functionally with sale, operations, procurement, and finance to ensure feasible and executable plans.

    The Master Planner deals with medium and long-term planning and forecasting of, among other things, capacity and material requirements (4M method = man, machine, material, method) and has the coordination with the relevant departments in order to arrive at one agreed plan and forecast.

    The Master Planners leads to the Sales & Operations (S&OP) process and leads Capacity and Load Meetings; Drives the Daily Operations and Production Meetings, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and operational capabilities. This role manages planning for both open customer orders and demand forecasts, and tracks daily planned versus earned hours to drive schedule adherence and operation efficiency and partners with Operations to address variances and recovery plans.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develops and maintains the production schedule based on demand, forecasts, customer orders, capacity and material availability.
    • Handles planning/scheduling for open orders and customer forecasts, integrating both into the ERP system and S&OP processes.
    • Balances customer delivery commitments with plant capacity and constraints.
    • Leads S&OP meetings facilitating alignment across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain.
    • Leads Capacity and Load Meetings to ensure production plans are realistic and executable.
    • Tracks and analyses daily planned hours vs earned hours to measure labor efficiency and schedule performance.
    • Analyzes demand changes and recommends schedule adjustments to minimize disruptions.
    • Monitors and improves On-Time Delivery (OTD) alongside Customer Service Team
    • Identifies risks related to capacity, materials, or labor and escalates with mitigation plans
    • Maintains planning data accurately in ERP/MRP systems
    • Drives continuous improvement initiatives in planning and scheduling processes.
    • Reviews and manages plan orders in the context of department capacity.
    • Making decisions regarding re-in and re-out requests within existing frameworks.
    • Monitors, supervises and controls the progress of the schedule, identifies and escalates deviations/problems towards internal responsible persons and makes proposals, and implements, to reach a resolution.
    • Maintains contact with relevant departments to discuss consequences of missing materials, changes in requirements and machine malfunctions and plots actions as necessary.
    • Communicates required materials with the Procurement Department.
    • Communicates delivery time deviations with Customer Service
    • Communicates schedule changes clearly and proactively to Customer Service
    • Translates customer orders into appropriate production planning.
    • Makes proposals for resolution of bottlenecks and their implementation.
    • Adjusts schedules in the event of disruptions.
  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related filed or equivalent experience.
    • Has years of experience in production planning or master scheduling
    • Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems with preference in Jobboss.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Experience with capacity planning and constraint management
