Position: MASTER PR/SERE High Risk Training Instructor
Type: Full-Time
Location: Camp Lejeune, NC
Travel: 10-15% (Travel to states including CA, FL, NC, SC, TN, VA, ME, and WA; may change per mission need)

Position Summary : Master PR/SERE HRTIs are top-level instructors responsible for the independent conduct of SERE training iterations, instructor mentorship, and the development of evolving training requirements. They play a critical role in evaluation, curriculum refinement, and serving as subject matter experts for specialty scenarios. Their expertise ensures MARFORSOC achieves its personnel recovery and training objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
These services are required to support unique efforts which may require:
Conduct independent, full-spectrum SERE instruction for all phases and scenarios
Mentor lower-tier instructors, conduct evaluations, and remediate performance as needed
Design and implement improvements in curriculum and training doctrine
Serve as SME for advanced/complex training situations
Maintain instructor records, comply with all government certification requirements
Required Skills and Abilities:
Possess/maintain Secret clearance
Ability to obtain/maintain CAC/SIPR token access
U.S. Citizenship/Residency required
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to adult learning, coaching, and diversity within SOF environments
Graduate of approved DoD Instructor Training/Certification Course
Must meet all MRTC PR/SERE requirements and have been officially awarded the Master Instructor rating (performance-based and board-passed per SOW)
Nominated in writing by the Task Lead to perform instructor training duties
Minimum of 20 FSLC SERE courses conducted independently as Certified HRTI at MARFORSOC
Must meet all requirements of Senior PR/SERE HRTI
Physical fitness that meets or exceeds NAVMC 1553.2 and OF-178 standards
Function in extended field, role-play, and austere conditions
Capable of lifting, walking, travel, and working non-standard hours during training surges

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
