    Job Description

     

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate teammate with excellent customer service.  Handle all questions in relation to current balances due, where to send payment, or any other billing and collection related questions.
    • Balance Forward A/R; Locate and monitor overdue accounts & work the “hold” inventory.
    • Confer with customers by telephone or in writing to determine reason for overdue payments and to review terms of service and credit contracts.
    • Advise customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment.
    • Persuade customers/clients to pay amounts due on credit accounts.
    • Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules, based on customers’ financial situations and per the Customer Service Department policies.
    • Modify, sort, adjust, re-bill, and mail out patient statements during end of month close.
    • Uphold Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA compliance guidelines in relation to billing, collections, and PHI information. 
    • Handle patient, pharmacy, and insurance complaints professionally and quickly with complete and timely follow through. Have the ability to recognize when a complaint needs to be escalated to the Customer Service Supervisor.

    Pay is 18/hr and is a CONTRACT-TO-HIRE POSITION!
