    Our client is a leading law firm with over forty years of experience representing employers in litigation involving all aspects of labor and employment cases, ranging from grievance arbitration to NLRB proceedings and actions before state and federal agencies. Their attorneys try cases in state and federal courts across the nation, including disputes involving discrimination and harassment, wage and hour issues, employment contracts, enforceability of non-compete clauses, whistleblower protections, and wrongful termination. This firm prides itself on its comprehensive experience and proactive approach to safeguarding clients' interests against the changing employment law landscape.

    They have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Employment Litigation Associate. This position requires a candidate with at least two years of direct experience in employment litigation, exceptional legal research and writing skills, and a deep understanding of both federal and state employment laws. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid commitment to client service, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.

    Key Responsibilities of Employment Litigation Associate:

    • Draft and review pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts.

    • Experience advising on employment law areas, including wage and hour claims, discrimination claims, post-employment restrictions, etc.

    • Experience in labor law is a plus but not required.

    • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex employment law issues.

    • Collaborate with other attorneys and paralegals to effectively manage caseloads and meet deadlines.

    Qualifications

    • JD is from an ABA-accredited law school and graduated with a strong academic record.

    • Admitted to practice law in Wisconsin or have the ability to gain admission promptly.

    • A minimum of two years of experience, ideally in employment litigation; however, we may consider other litigation areas.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    • Commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
