Our team is looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and creative digital marketing and communication professional with a desire to drive growth in our association business. The successful candidate will work on marketing and communication efforts for our organization, a fast-growing network of businesses and other associations across the state of Maryland. The Digital Marketing Assistant will support a high-performance culture and be able to think strategically and act tactically.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (ALL BRANDS):
- Overall marketing and communications design, plan management, implementation and oversight
- Manage all internal and external communications strategies to help scale and expand our organization
- Develop powerful narratives to communicate the value proposition of our expanding portfolio of services and products to businesses across the state through original content, graphics, digital design, new media and more
- Videography and video implementation strategy and execution
- Originating and writing strategic content across Marketing and Communication channels including press releases, landing page copy, email, blogging, social media, website, etc.
- Management of editorial and integrated marketing calendars
- Original Photography, development of photo storage file system and press room enhancements
- Partner with our Sales and Event teams to cross-sell services and products to our customers
- Develop and execute growth strategy to drive new member acquisition
- Oversee inbound & outbound marketing programs, developing thought leadership across all practice/technology areas
- Maintain state-wide media contact list
- Website design, content creation, marketing management & traffic optimization strategy
- Design & management of member services collateral
- Database growth management through contact collection strategy
- Strategic development of marketing materials including content, pricing strategy, timelines, design/design oversight, deadlines and implementation
- Annual reports & business plan design
- Social media strategy support
- Sponsor recognition management
- Maintain communications plan & style guidelines
- Manage functionality of websites, provide digital design solutions and oversight of content updates, working closely with Sales and Events to improve the user experience in our member portal and website
- Deliver analytics reports that tracks the success of website and paid social metrics, identifies actionable insights and makes recommendations the ladder up to the client’s strategy and business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BACHELOR’S DEGREE with emphasis in communications, marketing or relevant experience
Demonstrated track record of 4+ years in a digital marketing, record driving, high growth environment across a wide range of channels including SEM, SEO, email, affiliates, and social for high-tech national/international B2B or B2C brands
Web marketing pro. Able to leverage data and analytics to help inform web marketing strategies and recommendations for increased site traffic.
Certified in fundamental digital platforms. Google Analytics certified, at a minimum, along with a demonstrated knowledge of other platforms and tools (i.e. AdWords, Tag Manager, etc.)
Experience working with marketing automation platforms (Sharp Spring, Hubspot a +) and managing a mature segmented email marketing program
Strong analytical skills, including proven ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems
Strategic thinking skills necessary to develop and implement long-term programs
Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; presentation, business and negotiation skills
Familiarity with Sharp Spring, CRM, WordPress and other marketing tools

PREFERRED
- EDUCATED. BA/BS in marketing, communications or a related field.
- EXPERIENCED. 5+ years of full-time digital experience, including social media, email, paid media and analytics. Agency experience is required. Management/mentorship experience is required.
- PAID MEDIA STRATEGIST. Proven track record of successfully managing social campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- WEB MARKETING PRO. Able to leverage data and analytics to help inform web marketing strategies and recommendations for increased site traffic.
- PASSIONATE DIGITAL MARKETER. Recognize the ever-changing landscape of digital and go above and beyond to harness new industry trends, algorithm changes and improvements to run – and measure – great digital campaigns.
- CREATIVE, OUT-OF-THE-BOX THINKER. Thrives on taking an idea and running with it, coming up with new approaches to standard campaigns.
- CERTIFIED IN FUNDAMENTAL DIGITAL PLATFORMS. Google Analytics certified, at a minimum, along with a demonstrated knowledge of other platforms and tools (i.e. AdWords, Tag Manager, etc.)
- TEAM PLAYER. Enjoy working on a small team and are happy to pitch in where needed.
- Proficient in MS Office. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook for day-to-day job performance.
- DEADLINE AND RESULTS DRIVEN. Work under pressure in a calm manner, are organized, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and are flexible in working on and completing multiple projects simultaneously.
