    Job Description

     

    MBL is seeking a Training and Outreach Specialist_._ This candidate will be in charge of training for a department level security and privacy program. The Training and Outreach Specialist is responsible for assisting in development, enhancement, and delivery of cybersecurity training and awareness campaigns.  

     

    Responsibilities include:

    • Conduct the research necessary to develop and revise training courses.
    • Develop and revise courses and prepare appropriate training catalogs.
    • Prepare instructor materials (course outline, background material, and training aids).
    • Prepare student materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms).
    • Train personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops and seminars.
    • Prepare reports and monitor training tasks in support of the goals of the Contractor Program Manager and the government sponsor(s) using standard training standards and software and hardware programs such as modeling and simulation and prototyping efforts.
    • Provide input to the Project Lead and the Contractor Program Manager on which decisions for training validation and or modifications of specified items or systems can be corrected.

     

    Qualifications include:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and training techniques
    • Knowledge of training and communication best practices
    • Ability to learn a specialized training development tool
    • Ability to manage training completion metrics within the tool
    • Understanding of Section 508 compliance requirements
    • Experience coordinating with stakeholders and audiences
    • Experience with continuous program support to evaluate training success, document lessons learned, and apply new strategies as necessary
