    Wonderful, employee-owned civil engineering firm is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team!

    They are seeking someone with 8-15 years of experience working with municipalities- water, sewer, waste water projects and/or transportation projects like highways, bridges, pavements and roadway design.

    This role is responsible for the planning, management, supervision, and coordination of professional engineering work related to the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of various public works projects. The Senior Engineer assists in managing multiple public works projects simultaneously, supervises project staff, activities and tasks, coordinates project development and progress with clients, and provides technical support for internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Engineer could serve on public works projects and as a senior engineer at a municipality in a support role.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and supervise the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for the construction of public works projects.
    • Manage and direct a team of engineers, technicians and related professionals in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications and construction documents.
    • Review and provide recommendations for site improvement plans for conformance with governing codes and design principles. •
    • Provide professional and engineering support to design and construction management teams.
    • Serve as senior engineer at a municipality.
    • Administer public works’ contracts.
    • Direct engineering staff to perform complex engineering work for public works projects and programs, ensuring technical competence and compliance with governing regulations.
    • Manage project development and budgets from inception to completion including project planning, scheduling and critical milestones monitoring to ensure timely project delivery on time and on budget.

    Qualifications

    • 8+ years of progressive engineering experience.
    • 2+ years in a supervisory role.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
    • Current PE California License is required. Specialty certifications are highly desired.
    • Proven track record for successfully completing public works projects.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Possession and maintenance of a valid Class “C” California driver’s license is required.

    Salary 150K-180K, excellent benefits.
