    POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Shift Supervisors (Contact Tracing)

    Do you have a passion for public health in Maine? Medical Care Development, Inc. (MCD), a non-profit, public health services organization, is accepting applications for two (2) public health professionals to join our team and serve as a Shift Supervisor working with the State of Maine CDC (The Department) Contact Tracing Program. These positions will provide support for the enroller and monitor teams. This full-time 40-hour per week position will be housed at the Maine CDC office in Augusta. This is a one-year grant-funded project. This position is eligible for MCD’s benefit package.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Assist with complex enrollment situations.
    • Review and update quality improvement and performance metrics.
    • Trains new staff in protocols, policies, and use of Sara Alert.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    Required:

    A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in public health or related field. This position also requires six (6) months of supervisory experience, as well as strong experience with word processing software, email and internet use, spreadsheets, and data entry.  

    • Ability to exercise good judgment within a context of competing priorities, agendas, and partner sensitivities.
    • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently, from office or in the community.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills - communication, networking, group facilitation.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities, and have a sense of urgency with deadlines.
    • Strong communication skills: ability to listen well, write, and speak effectively.
