    POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Grants Manager (Contact Tracing)

    Do you have a passion for public health in Maine? Medical Care Development, Inc. (MCD), a non-profit, public health services organization, is accepting applications for a public health professional to join our team and serve as a Grants Manager working with the State of Maine CDC Contact Tracing Program (The Department). This position will provide grant coordination services through Grant Management for Contact Tracing Program. This full-time 40-hour per week position will be housed at the Maine CDC office in Augusta. This is a one-year grant-funded project. This position is eligible for MCD’s benefit package.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Ensuring all federal grant requirements are timely met.
    • Entering required data into federal REDCap system.
    • Coordinating routine meetings of the governance team.
    • Participating in federal grant calls and meetings.
    • Coordinating grant writing and performance metrics.
    • Ensuring grants are reviewed prior to submission.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    Required:

    A Master’s degree in Public Health or management and two (2) years professional experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or related field and four (4) years of professional experience. U.S. CDC grant writing or grant management experience is preferred, but not required. 

    • Ability to exercise good judgment within a context of competing priorities, agendas, and partner sensitivities.
    • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently, from office or in the community.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills - communication, networking, group facilitation.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities, and have a sense of urgency with deadlines.
    • Strong communication skills: ability to listen well, write, and speak effectively.
