    POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Informatics Project Coordinators (Contact Tracing)

    Do you have a passion for public health in Maine? Medical Care Development, Inc. (MCD), a non-profit, public health services organization, is accepting applications for two public health professionals to join our team and serve as Informatics Project Coordinators working with the State of Maine CDC Contact Tracing Program (The Department). These positions will provide Informatics coordination services for the Contact Tracing Program. These full-time 40-hour per week positions will be housed at the Maine CDC office in Augusta. This is a one-year grant-funded project. These positions are eligible for MCD’s benefit package.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Tracking all project details within the JIRA system.
    • Ensuring staff are meeting necessary timelines.
    • Coordinating routine meetings with Informatics Team.
    • Supporting informatics grant writing and performance measure reporting.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    Required:

    A Master’s degree in public health Informatics, biostatistics or a related field and two (2) years relevant work experience or a Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of combined training, and/or experience in data analysis or Informatics. This position also requires two (2) years relevant work experience and training in data manipulation and visualization software such as Alteryx, Excel, GIS, SAS, SQL, R, Tableau, etc. and knowledge of infectious diseases.  

    • Ability to exercise good judgment within a context of competing priorities, agendas, and partner sensitivities.
    • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities, and have a sense of urgency with deadlines.
    • Strong communication skills: ability to listen well, write, and speak effectively.
