    POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Informatics Electronic Case Report Coordinator (Contact Tracing)

    Do you have a passion for public health in Maine? Medical Care Development, Inc. (MCD), a non-profit, public health services organization, is accepting applications for a public health professional to join our team and serve as an Informatics Electronics Case Report Coordinator working with the State of Maine CDC Contact Tracing Program (The Department). This position will provide electronic case reporting coordination of the COVID-19 data. This full-time 40-hour per week position will be housed at the Maine CDC office in Augusta. This is a one-year grant-funded project. This position is eligible for MCD’s benefit package.

    Essential Job Functions: 

    • Recruiting organizations to report electronically.
    • Onboarding facilities to the RCKMS platform.
    • Performing validation on incoming messages.
    • Finalizing facility transition to production messages.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    Required:

    A degree in public health Informatics, biostatistics or a related field and two (2) years relevant work experience or a degree and four (4) years of combined training, and/or experience in data analysis or Informatics. This position also requires two (2) years relevant work experience and training in data manipulation and visualization software such as Alteryx, Excel, GIS, SAS, SQL, R, Tableau, etc. and knowledge of infectious diseases. 

    • Ability to exercise good judgment within a context of competing priorities, agendas, and partner sensitivities.
    • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities, and have a sense of urgency with deadlines.
    • Strong communication skills: ability to listen well, write, and speak effectively.
