    This is an exceptional opportunity to conduct data analyses that means more to you and those we serve in the healthcare industry. In this multifaceted position, you will help drive business decisions by working with a variety of stakeholders including Product, Software, and Physician Editor teams using informed data analytics.

    The Senior Data Analyst will analyze health care data in support of the development, validation and implementation of clinical practice guidelines. The analyst will work with large public and proprietary databases, as well as MCG client data, to measure the services used by patients and the health outcomes achieved by them. The Senior Data Analyst will also assist in the creation of statistical benchmarks for health care service utilization, and in the development of health care analytics tools.

    Our ideal candidate has experience working with health claims data (Medicare, commercial), enjoys working with SQL and has strong communication skills.

    In this role you will:

    • Be responsible for completion of large, complex data analysis projects
    • Work with customers and management to set appropriate milestone and deliverable timelines
    • Own relationships with other project leads and manage expectations through all stages of projects
    • Ability to work and solve problems independently
    • Select initial data sources and analytical techniques
    • Data quality assessment and remediation
    • Analysis using actuarial and statistical models
    • Prepare final reports
    • Creating technical documentation and archiving of files
    • Supervise work of other analysts as required on a project by project basis
    • Identify and drive process improvement in data analytics/SQL

    We’d love to hear from you if:

    • You have a related bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in health care data analysis
    • You have strong knowledge of and extensive experience with SAS and SQL, with 2+ years’ experience
    • You have knowledge of analytic techniques and metrics used in analysis of healthcare service data, including knowledge of healthcare data coding systems and common administrative data formats is a plus
    • You’ve demonstrated the ability to work concurrently on diverse projects and maintain high standards for accuracy, professionalism, productivity and confidentiality.
    • You have a collaborative, team player mentality with a passion for using data to inform decisions
    • You have strong verbal and written communications skills
    • And, ideally, you have experience with health care data and coding systems (ICD, CPT-4, HCPCS, DRG), that’s a plus
